Using obsolete applications or templates and plugins for them, or using very simple passwords always poses a threat to your sites as these things make it much easier to hack them. Things can get even worse in case you have multiple websites since all of them will be in danger when an attacker gets control of only one of them. For this reason we have created JailHost - an advanced level security feature that isolates websites from each other. If an Internet site gets compromised, the attacker will be unable to see or gain access to any other content outside the website folder, so all the other sites inside the account will be protected and will remain intact. The JailHost option does not be a substitute for carrying out regular script updates or using proper passwords, but it will minimize any damage to your sites significantly, so you will need to fix only one Internet site rather than all of them.

JailHost in Shared Hosting

In case you host your Internet sites inside a shared hosting account from our firm, you can protect them by using the JailHost option with just a couple of clicks inside your Hepsia Control Panel. This option is provided with all plans and can be activated for every folder since the domains and subdomains in Hepsia have different folders, so files for various Internet sites do not get mixed up as it regularly happens with other Control Panels. We have not activated JailHost by default as you might use scripts that need access to folders outside the main site folder and this option can interfere with their proper functioning, but shielding all of the other folders is very simple. If any protected site gets hacked for whatever reason, we will be able to recover it promptly as we will have multiple daily backups of your entire account and you will even be able to browse the available backups in Hepsia.

JailHost in Semi-dedicated Hosting

If you have a semi-dedicated hosting account, you will be able to start JailHost with several clicks from your Hepsia Control Panel as we've included this feature in all semi-dedicated plans. It is not activated by default since you may use an application that needs access to other folders inside the account and JailHost may cause problems, yet you'll be able to secure all other Internet sites by separating them from one another. It is super easy because in Hepsia all domains and subdomains have separate folders. In comparison, many other Control Panels save the content of multiple sites in subfolders under a primary domain, so just one hacked site there means that all of them will be hacked. With Hepsia, only one site could get damaged and even if this happens, we can quickly recover it using the multiple daily backup copies that we will keep, meaning that you can go ahead and update it afterwards to protect it from potential future attacks.
